Reservation Dogs blends humour, satire and tragedy into a story of contemporary Indigenous American life. Almost everyone involved in the production is an indigenous American, which means it’s a story made primarily for the indigenous American community. It’s not made to cater for the gaze of outsiders, but just like Atlanta (TV series, 2016-2022), that’s what makes the show and its characters unique. 

I love these kids and want nothing but the best for them in life, even though they’re fictional! I just can’t help but love and root for them.
